Paulo Moreno, from Cascais, Portugal, actually only started to dance in Holland having learned Tango at the Cuartito Azul Tangoschool in Rotterdam from Hugo Buiten and Marieke Timmer. After a couple of intensive learning years, in late 2008, he partnered and started practicing with Regina Lerma Martinez, also a teacher of Cuartito Azul, and have been working in teaching and performing together mostly in Rotterdam. In the summer of 2009, Paulo began working with Valerie Fiteni, starting to teach weekly in Alkmaar in September of that year. Due to their similar views towards tango and complementary personalities in teaching it, it has been a very gratifying relationship that has only grown stronger and better since it all started. In January of 2010, the opportunity arose for Paulo to work with Jolanda Walder of Den Bosch. This relationship was more directed towards to public demonstrations of Tango dance which had its highlight with the participation in the Nijmegen International Tango Festival in 2010.
